If the runways are shallow and surface-level with chewed plants, it is likely voles, and we handle those too. We identify the animal on the first visit and set the right trap for it.

Moles leave raised, spongy ridges and cone-shaped mounds of loose dirt. Voles leave shallow surface runways about the width of a garden hose and gnawed bark or bulbs. Groundhogs dig a single wide hole, 10 to 12 inches across, with a fan of dirt in front, usually against a shed or deck. Chipmunks dig clean two-inch holes with no dirt pile, usually along a foundation or walkway. The identification table on this page walks through each one.

Never on wildlife. Moles eat earthworms and insects, not the grain baits rodent poisons are built around, so poison rarely works on them and it puts pets and children at risk. We use mechanical traps set in the active runway for moles and voles, and live traps for groundhogs, raccoons, squirrels and chipmunks. Mosquito and tick control is the single exception, because you cannot trap a mosquito population out of a yard. Even there we eliminate the standing water they breed in first, treat larvae where water cannot be drained, and target only the shaded areas adults rest in rather than blanketing the property. You are told exactly what is applied and where, and you can ask for a plan with no spraying at all.

You call or request a free estimate. A technician inspects the property, identifies which tunnels or entry points are active, and sets traps in those exact spots. We return on a schedule to check and reset the traps until the activity stops. Pricing is quoted per property after the inspection, with no charge for the assessment.
